Intermission dancing on the carpet. Audience members kept heckling us to get up on the stage and dance, but that felt a little disrespectful…it’s not our show…we’re just dancing to entertain ourselves…if it entertains others, that’s nice, but we can’t invade another performers space that they paid for! We can only co-opt the public space of said performance space. }:-)

Bronzeville – The New LATC
Salsa and 20’s Charleston/Balboa during intermission music
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday
Andrews Brothers
The entire musical was danceable AND WE HAD TO SIT THERE! IT WAS PURE TORTURE!!!!!! But luckily we were able to dance in our row for the orchestra play-off. Yay!
Church
Whenever the band starts playing a song that people feel the need to clap along to, we get up and dance. And it feels even more blessed when the song’s lyrics encourage God’s people to dance!
Target
Marvin Gaye’s “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” started playing and we dropped what we were doing to dance…unfortunately it was only a short demo playing…
Urinetown – Cerritos College
Danced the orchestra play-off and ended with a koala-frog. Especially interesting since we danced on a slope (think I hurt her more than anything else in that sense).
City of Angels – Cal State Fullerton
Danced during the orchestra play-off at the end of the show and nailed perfectly (musically and otherwise) a big finish which was very exhilarating.
The Rat Pack Live At The Sands – Wilshire Theatre Beverly
Danced to the canned, pre-show music before the show, got small smatterings of applause. Big memorable move would have to be the frog leading into cross-breaks/salsa basics that later got worked into our Jeep Jockey Jump solo.
